McCain Catching Up in Battleground States

FoxNews.com report that McCain is gaining ground in Ohio and Florida.
FoxNews.com reported today that John McCain is catching up to Barack Obama in the ever-so-important battleground state campaign. McCain now is tied or leads in Florida and Ohio according to the latest Rasmussen Reports poll. While most people look at national polls, the real race is in the electoral college, especially in those states deemed as “toss-up” or “battleground” states, such as Ohio, Florida, and North Carolina.
However, Obama is gaining ground in Missouri and North Carolina, and continues to lead in Virginia and Colorado; all four are must-wins for McCain. One reason may be Obama’s overwhelming financial advantage, an advantage he gained after he broke his promise (which he gave more than once) to accept public financing.
Obama has raised $150 million in September and $604 million dollars in the primary and general election combined. One wonders if Obama is trying to buy his way into the White House rather than earn it through sound judgment and sound policies. However, this stems from Obama’s philosophy and foreshadows his governing practice: to get anything done one must get more of people’s hard earned money (through donations in the campaign and higher taxes should he win) and massive spending.
