McCain and Obama now in statistical tie

John McCain and Sarah Palin talk to large crowd of supporters and undecideds.

John McCain and Sarah Palin talk to large crowd of supporters and undecideds.

The latest poll from Fox News/Opinion Dynamics shows that McCain now trails by only 3 points, and the margin of error is 3 points. This means that McCain and Obama are now statistically tied! The McCain train is catching up, folks! As McCain said, it will be a long night and a close race with McCain-Palin edging out a victory. The poll showed McCain trailing by 9 last week.

Although Barack likes to tell the crowds not to get overconfident and, instead, to act like they are trailing, Obama (who has a habit of acting contrary to his word), has been acting like he’s already won. The half-hour, $4 million infomercial had him in a room designed to look like the Oval Office, he’s already finished his acceptance speech, and he’s planned a $2 million victory party (after he loses, maybe those who attend will at least have a good show there in Chicago).

People are learning that Obama is not ready to lead, will raise their taxes, will increase spending by at least $1 trillion (yes, with a ‘T’), and deepen the recession we are in (or about to be in). They realize that Obama wants to “spread the wealth around,” and give millions who pay no income tax a free check. He wants to only tax the rich, but his campaign has defined “rich” as low as $150,000–he’s also voted to raise the taxes on people making as little as $42,000/year (I guess he thinks they are rich, too).

Voters are learning that McCain will not raise anyone’s taxes, will cut the capital gains tax, will implement sound fiscal policies that will get us out of the recession, will cut pork-barrel spending, will freeze the spending of all non-essential items, and will protect this nation from terrorists. They are learning that McCain can be trusted, he has the experience, and he has proven time and again that he is not only ready, but is fully capable to lead.
