What a TREMENDOUS turnout for our Gregg County GOP primary election! The credit for that can go to the competitive races and the overwhelming effort by YOU, the party faithful.
Now, our work is set before us. Now that we have the primary election behind us, we have to set our sights on winning a substantial victory in November.
Governor Rick Perry is the obvious choice over former Houston Mayor White. Perry opposes the Washington takeovers and White supports them. Texas must defend our traditions and sovereignty and Perry is the only candidate who will.
US Representative LOUIE GOHMERT is the conservative voice we need in Congress. While he faces no significant challenges in this election, Gregg County can make a big difference for the GOP candidates who are challenging vulnerable Democrats across Texas. Let’s have a solid Texas congressional delegation that we can be proud of.
We will redistrict Texas after this census. How the Texas legislature draws those lines will determine the makeup of both the state and national legislatures. Our State Board of Education will be similarly defined. As Republicans, we must DEMAND of our Texas legislature that the new congressional districts will reflect the conservative majority of Texas. Nothing less will be acceptable.
