A letter from the national GOP (RNC) recently went out in the name of the Gregg County GOP. This letter is “misleading and deceitful.” Below is the message from Chairman Rothra regarding this letter.

The national GOP is deceiving Gregg GOP members into contributing to them. In a letter from the Republican National Committee the heading has “GREGG COUNTY” printed across the top. The letter poses as a poll for you to express your opinions. It also asks you to help reach the “GREGG COUNTY GOAL of $25,617″ in donations in Gregg County.
THIS IS NOT FROM GREGG COUNTY GOP. The letter appears to be asking for contributions for Gregg County GOP. Not ONE DIME of the contributions would come to the Gregg GOP. The letter is misleading and deceitful.
