After four years of trying to bring the divergent factions of the Gregg GOP together, it grieves me to hear one group or another try to redefine what is a “real Republican.” The Tea Party, the old standard GOPers, and whoever …. Please hear this. The primary is over. Almost all agree with the GOP platform stand in support of the sanctity of life. We agree on traditional family and marriage definitions. We are one in supporting limited government and lower taxes. We agree that the scourge upon America by the present administration must end. How is it then that one faction within the party would try to shoot holes in the other end of the same boat? Will not the whole boat sink?
Our job now is to forge TOGETHER to win the White House. We need to retire Harry Reid. We need a super majority in the Texas House and Senate. This is possible ONLY if we work TOGETHER. Sniping at someone else is not conducive to a necessary unity beginning NOW.
Tea Party people are about 10% Ron Paul supporters … and those that are have mostly come to support Mitt Romney. The vast majority of TEA Party people echo the principles of the GOP platform. They ARE Republicans … so are those who have chosen to NOT be part of that movement.
I am structuring a VICTORY 2012 organization and would covet your active participation. Come …. let us reason TOGETHER. It is the ONLY road to Victory in November.
