Day 2: Convention Begins
What a DAY! We started off with breakfast paid for by Rick Perry and Hewlett Packard. Several speakers there, including Attorney General Gregg Abbott, State Chair Tina Benkiser, Senator John Cornyn, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, and a video welcome from Governor Rick Perry. The crowning joy was the appearance of First Lady Laura Bush.

The opening ceremonies today were electric. Some were concerned that the hurricane would turn the convention off. Far from it! The Republicans are STOKED and we KNOW that we have a WINNER with the McCain/Palin team.
I had interviews with several media representatives and will probably have more tomorrow. I am hoping to get to talk to some Fox News folks on Tuesday. The media is intent to find controversy and are usually a little put off when you snooker them in their own game. I LOVE it!
